Wizkid & Justin Bieber Perform “Essence” At The Made In America Festival

Wizkid on Sunday joined Justin Bieber onstage for a surprise performance of “Essence” remix, at this year’s Made in America music festival. The remix of “Essence” featuring Tems and Justin Bieber is taken from the deluxe version of the Grammy award-winning star’s album “Made In Lagos“. Justin Bieber headlined the Made In America Festival, which took place on Sunday 5th of September, alongside international acts like Doja Cat, Bobby Shmurda, Roddy Rich and more. After performing some of his tracks including “Peaches“, the singer proceeded to surprise fans by inviting Wizkid on stage to perform the song, “Essence” which has topped charts all summer. Bella Shmurda: Ghanaian Government Covid-19 Tests Were Fradulent

'Rush' crooner, Bella Shmurda, has thrown shades at the Ghanaian authorities over the COVID-19 saga that led to his deportation. Bella Shmurda revealed he tested Negative to Covid-19 in New York after he was deported from Ghana for testing Positive to the virus. Last weekend, news that Bella Shmurda was deported from Ghana hit the internet. According to reports, he tested Positive to Covid-19 in Ghana and was asked to pay #70,000 daily for 14 days of isolation. He informed the officials that he was tested in Nigeria and his result came out negative. They insisted he pay the isolation fees, but Bella stood his ground. In the process of defending his stance, he assaulted a Ghanaian doctor and was deported and banned from entering the county. Few hours after his deportation, Bella travelled to New York City and tested Negative to Covid-19. Apparently Ghanaian authorities are allegedly in the business of giving out fake COVID results and forcing people to pay money for isolation. Taking to his IG story, Bella Shmurda threw shades at Ghana after his NYC COVID test. He demanded an explanation and why he tested positive for COVID only in Accra and not Nigeria or NYC.

Tems Is Spotify's Most Streamed African Artiste

Nigerian singer, songwriter and record producer Tems, becomes Spotify's most streamed African Artist. The songstress has amassed a whopping eleven million monthly listeners on the music streaming platform Spotify, making her the first female artist and overall act in Africa to rack up such numbers. Tems who was instrumental in the success of Wizkid's smashing tune 'Essence', with her catchy hook on the song, as at September 1st 2021 had a total of 7,016,476 monthly listeners on Spotify. However, Tems who recently featured Drake's album 'Certified Lover Boy' has surpassed Afrobeats poster boy Wizkid, who has over ten million monthly listeners on Spotify. As regards Spotify monthly listeners, Nigerian acts Burna Boy has over nine million, Davido has over three million, Yemi Alade has over one million, as well as Tiwa Savage. It is indeed a great time for the Nigerian music industry.

Popular Nigerian Singer Bella Shmurda Has Been Deported & Banned From Ghana

''Cash App'' crooner Bella Shmurda has reportedly been deported and banned from Ghana for assaulting a Doctor. The Nigerian singer was deported after Adjabeng Circuit Court found him guilty of attacking a Doctor with a fork while in quarantine. The Adjabeng Circuit Court sitting in Accra ordered his deportation immediately and placed a ban on him. Bella Shmurda was deported alongside two others namely; Ramsey Omeofe and Jubreel Abimbola. They were also banned from travelling to Ghana. According to Sahara Report, the trio ban is for a period of three months and they were also fined GH¢2,000 each for assaulting the Doctor in charge and escaping quarantine. It was understood that the trio were quarantined upon arrival in Ghana as mandated during the pandemic and underwent COVID tests. They were quarantined at a hotel in Accra and had their swabs taken and reportedly tested positive for the virus which meant they had to remain in quarantine. Apparently rankled and agitated that the development would disrupt their visit to Ghana, they reportedly attacked the Doctor who delivered the news to them and escaped from quarantining.

Tiwa Savage Lays Father To Rest

Africa's number one bad gal, Tiwa Savage lost her beloved father on July 19. A service of songs was held in his honour on September 2. The singer and her family also gave him a befitting burial on September 3 as they finally laid him to rest Tiwa Savage shared clips from the event on her Instagram story channel and she went all out to pay her last respect to her father. The singer shared clips of the event via her Instagram stories. Few days ago, the mother of one released her father’s burial poster on social media, sharing the invite, the dress code and other necessary information concerning the burial. The ''Somebody's Son'' crooner arrived at the event in style, she showed up in a Rolls Royce, rocking a beautiful ensemble. Tiwa wore a rich royal blue and gold embellished outfit with beautiful expensive-looking shoes and a statement purse.  The Number 1 African Bad Gyal also vowed to give her father a befitting burial, which many believe she did. Canadian/American rapper and singer Drake collaborates with Nigerian songstress Tems on the highly anticipated record titled 'Fountain'.  The song is housed under the rapper's latest album 'Certified Lover Boy'.  The new tune is housed in Drake’s latest album, “Certified Lover Boy.” Lil Wayne, Travis Scott, Kid Cudi, Young Thug, 21 Savage, Jay-Z, TY Dolla Sign, Future, Project Pat, Lil Durk, Lil Baby, and GIVEON all appear on the album, which has 21 tracks from various genres. The was produced by Drake, Noah “40” Shebib, Oliver El-Khatib, and Noel Cadastre. Nigerian model, presenter actress, and wife of the legendary artiste, Annie Idibia went all out on Instagram to slam her husband, 2Baba, over his baby mamas and their dramas and how it negatively affects her. Earlier in the day, the actress posted on her IG stories about the singer's action with his baby mama, Pero, revealing that her rant on Instagram was provoked by 2Bbaba's recent actions, which his brothers" also participated in. Pero is 2Face's first baby mama who gave birth to three kids for the music star.⁣ She hasn't been on good terms with Annie Idibia for years.⁣ In her words: I am a patient woman!!... I am not a fool innocent. Your family never loved ... from the beginning! No matter how hard I tried, I was never worthy to them. I have made so many sacrifices for you and all your children. Davido, Yemi Alade, Patoranking, and others put up amazing performances at the YAM Carnival which was held in London on Saturday August 28th. The music carnival also saw artistes like Beenie Man, Omah Lay, Stonebwoy, NSG, Ms Banks, and more as they deliver incredibly to make attendees happy. Davido was the main headliner of the show, therefore, he did well to thrill the fans with some of his popular songs like Dami Duro, Fall, Aye, Risky and more. The African Queen, Yemi Alade also graced the stage with her energetic performance accompanied by her dancing skills. Patoranking absolutely smashed it with a couple of his hit songs as the crowd jam to it. Omah Lay’s ‘Godly’ song shook the place as the crowd sings along heavily. The YAM carnival is a celebration of black music, culture, and food. It was done across three stages, however, this was its debut.
