1. My Car by Tony Tetuila

“You don hit my car, Oyinbo repete…” this song was a major jam back then. “My Car” is a song that had an interesting story. Tony Tetuila took us through his ordeal of owning a car in Lagos, the song was relatable enough to get the whole of Lagos singing along. The spice in the song was Tony accusing the then Governor of Lagos State, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, of hitting his car. Tony Tetuila was invited to perform this song at government functions especially in the presence of the Ex-Governor who applauded him for the song.

2. Oya by Da Trybe

This was the song if the cool kids! elDee the Don and his crew got every teenager at the time spitting bars. Freestyle, Sasha, Dr Sid and 2 Shotz dropped it like it hot on this track. This hit would always be classic.

3. My Heart Go Jigi Jigi by Tony Tetuila

You can tell that 2001 was Tony Tetuila’s year right? From the album, My Car, he had this hit where declares how he feels for a woman he loved. Jigi Jigi was his way of describing how his heart beats for the woman the moment he sees her faraway.

4. Oko Omoge by Eedris Abdulkareem

Oko Omoge literal meaning is the ‘Husband of the Ladies’. This song was an attempt to hail his friends and legends in the entertainment industry that were loved by women. He mentioned from Baba Fryo, Daddy Showkey, Dele Momodu to Fela. Oh, how can you forget the  ‘One Leg Up’ dance?
